Sorry, I could not select any of the three choices as a high point. Miggy’s 3000 is a product of a strong career but does little to move the team forward this season, top bullpen is not always reliable, and Torkelson and Greene have not provided dynamic impacts moving the team toward greater competitiveness. I appreciate the ambition to be positive but I don’t see it in the three choices.

Miggy’s 3000 of course. It was good to see Greene join the team but it’s much too early to think he’s the new Mike Trout. In the field he looked more like Nicky C. although I will cut him a break since it was in Fenway.

Torkelson and Greene for me. Although there’s much to be proven about their viability as true major leaguers, they do represent a hope for the future. Miggy’s milestone achievements are wonderful, but represent the end of an era, not the beginning of our hopes for the future. The bullpen has been great, and worthy of praise, but I’m still skeptical as to its sustainability.

I think that the development of the bullpen is the top Tiger story so far this season. If the 2013 Tigers had had a bullpen like this season’s they could well have won a World Series.

Even Brad couldn’t screw these guys up. If we survive the 6th with a lead these guys are lock down. And AJ is a maestro at maneuvering his leverage innings.

To me, Miggy’s accomplishments exceed everything else, without a doubt. We are fortunate to witness the performance of one of the greatest hitters of all time…what could be better?

With all respect to the rookies and the resurrected bullpen, I have to vote for Cabrera’s continuing assault on the records. It’s a joy to watch him. There haven’t been many like him.

Miggy is #1 for me. I’d not expected to feel this way, but a big part of it is his surprising success this year. He is now “playing within himself” — adjusting his approach to hitting line drives through holes in the infield, and climbing up the career hits leader board. Despite his loss of power, we are no longer watching a sad end, but rather, a victory lap on a brilliant career.

I’ll always treasure his defensive efforts, even though he was the big star and still rated pretty poor at it. Also never forget his opposite field homer swing and thriple crown. What a ballplayer!!!

Voted for the Tigers bullpen, which has kept the ship from going down completely, but the organization needs to have a serious discussion now. Playoff teams are in dire need of acquiring pitching help now due to many injuries. They are looking for Starters and in many cases Relief Pitching going forward. Rumor has it that the team many are focusing their vulturous eyes on is Detroit.
